Sultan Teaches How to Make Wudu

I was in Cyprus visiting Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani . We were sitting on the patio, after having had a wonderful dinner with Mawlana Shaykh. He went inside the house and most of the people dispersed. However I stayed behind hoping to spend more time with our beloved Master. A few minutes later he came out, wearing his clogs and heading to the WC. I immediately jumped to assist in any way he might need and walked him to the door and waited. He came out and went to make wudu, and beckoned me to follow. Then without speaking, he motioned me to watch him. He opened the tap ever so slightly and a thin stream of water came out. He quickly washed his hands, then turned off the tap. He then opened the tap again and proceed to wash his mouth. Again he closed the tap He then opened the tap again and washed his nose, then turned off the tap. He proceeded in this manner for each of his limbs. I would estimate he did not use more than 2 cups of water to complete his entire wudu. Then he said, “there is a drought.”
Subhanallah if we could only follow his Sunnati example, all kinds of waste would be ended. May Allah raise him every higher and higher in the Divine Presence and in the Muhammadan (s) Presence!
