Dan janganlah mencari-cari keburukan orang lain. (Surat al-Hujurat, 49:12)

And spy not on each other behind their backs. (Surat al-Hujurat, 49:12)

Don’t spy on each other, Allah will curse us. Allah does not like people to spy on each other, who say, “This is what he did,” or “What did he do with that one?” Try to veil it if you see something wrong from your brother. One of Allah’s Beautiful Names and Attributes is as-Sattar, the Veiler; He veils all our mistakes. Does Allah expose our mistakes?

It might be on Judgment Day that Allah (swt) with His Rahmah will not expose our mistakes. He is as-Sattar, The One Who Veils Everything. “That is one of My Holy Names, to Veil Mistakes,” so veil the mistakes of your brother. Islam is to veil each other, not to expose that this one did this and this one did that. Forgive, because if you forgive Allah will forgive us. And don’t spy on each other.
